Coaching Staff

Stathie was born and raised in Palatine, Illinois where he began wrestling for the Palatine youth wrestling club, the Palatine Chargers. He continued to wrestle for Fremd High School under legendary Head Coach Ralph Cortez and spent time wrestling for Harper College where he was a 2-year starter at the Heavy Weight Division.

Stathie has a passion for the sport of wrestling and really enjoys coaching at a youth level. Stathie was elected to take over the Cobras wrestling program and has not looked back since. He currently resides in Rolling Meadows and his two children Stelios and Niko, both wrestle in the club.

Coach Keske is a 2005 graduate of Libertyville High School. He wrestled for the LHS team and also participated in baseball. He wrestled at Iowa Central Community College and won a NJCAA team championship. He also wrestled and played baseball at Augustana College, before transferring to Northeastern Illinois University, where he graduated with a Physical & Health Education degree. In the past, he coached football and baseball at the high school level. He is the head wrestling coach at Fremd High School.

Lucas graduated from Fremd High School in 2008. He first started wrestling in 4th grade and wrestled varsity at Fremd all four years under Coach Cortez. He is a very offensive minded wrestler, recording 128 take downs in his senior year alone. Lucas graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a degree in Sports Management and is currently Vice President of One Day Shootouts, the largest youth basketball tournament provider in the Midwest.

Bailey was born and raised in Bartlett, Illinois and was introduced into the sport of wrestling when she started dating Coach Travis in 2015. She was quickly fascinated by the sport and the Cobra's dynamic and was brought on as an administrator that year. Her and Travis were married in 2018 and she continues to fill the admin duties as well as carrying on her love for the sport.

My son has been with the Cobras for five years and my daughter for one year. Before that, I knew nothing about wrestling. I run the website and try to help out where I can without getting in the way.
